The books in The Emberwilde Places & Realms Trio
Sunken Kingdoms
A city under the sea, and the quiet that settled over it. 60 pages, including the front of a drowned palace with light falling through its broken roof, a shallow reef flat crowded with anemones and urchins, a sunken library with shelves grown over in coral and an octopus garden of gathered shells and coins.
Skyships and Floating Islands
Airships at anchor, sky harbours, and islands adrift above the clouds. 60 pages, including a great airship at anchor beside a floating island, small balloons rising from an island festival, a waterfall island seen from directly below and a ship taking on water from a falling island stream.
Ruins of the Old Kingdoms
Lost cities, overgrown temples, and halls the forest has taken back. 60 pages, including a temple front swallowed by the roots of a great tree, a fresco wall with its colours still faintly showing, a cracked dome open to a dawn sky and a hillside of ruins under a low autumn sun.
Why these books go together
Three fantasy worlds to wander through: a drowned kingdom under the sea, harbours and islands above the clouds, and the halls the forest has taken back. Lots of architecture, light and water to shade.
