Unicorns by moonlight
Unicorns and Moonlit Meadows is our unicorn book: 60 different pages of unicorns in the landscapes that suit them. They stand in silver meadows and lavender fields, drink from garden fountains, cross wooden footbridges, rest in wildflowers, and are watched by owls, hares and deer. Around them are night gardens with iron gates and rose arbours, still pools and willow-shaded rivers, blossom orchards, crescent moons and auroras.
Mythic Beasts adds a wild unicorn at a forest pool, a pegasus and a white stag among its legendary creatures. For the unicorn book with the dragon book and the beast book, the Creatures & Beasts trio is all three for $16.99.
Coloring ideas for unicorns
- Try a night palette. Deep blue and indigo skies make a pale unicorn glow. Leave the moon white and add a soft ring of yellow around it.
- Make the horn the brightest thing. Gold or pearl with a touch of white pencil, burnished with a light hand.
- Break the rules on the mane. Manes and tails are where pink, lilac and teal belong; the rest of the unicorn can stay natural.
- Blend the meadow in layers. Start with the lightest green, add darker greens toward the front and finish with a few flower dots for sparkle.
Every book comes with a full-color reference guide, a colored version of each page numbered to match, if you’d like a palette to start from.

Mostly. The horses are drawn in many colors, and some pages are just the moonlit landscape around them: gardens, pools and orchards.
Yes. Print as many copies as you like for yourself, your family or your own classroom. The license has the details.
Colored pencils, gel pens and fine-tip markers all work. For gel pens and fine-tip markers print on 100–120 gsm (28–32 lb) paper; for alcohol or brush markers use 160 gsm (65 lb) or cardstock so the ink doesn’t soak through. The printing guide has the details.
