Classic rules, plus: the numbers in each dashed cage add up to the small number in its corner, and never repeat inside a cage. Killer puzzles start with few or no numbers: the cage sums are the clues.
Killer puzzles replace most starting numbers with cages: dashed outlines whose numbers add up to the small sum in the corner. The first forty are easy, the next forty medium and the last forty hard, so the book teaches the cage sums as you go (a two-square cage of 3 can only be 1 and 2).
